What is an AI investigation game?
An AI investigation game is a detective game where you freely question characters brought to life by conversational artificial intelligence, the same kind as ChatGPT, instead of choosing from pre-written lines. Jack & Mani, launched in 2024, works this way: you ask the suspects and witnesses your questions in natural language, and each one answers while staying true to their character. There is no dialogue tree: you ask whatever you want, and the story reacts to your questions.
How does the AI make the suspects talk?
Each character has their own personality, past and secrets. The AI interprets the intent behind your question, then answers based on what the suspect knows and what they are willing to reveal. You can press on a contradiction, come back to an alibi or try a bluff: the conversation adapts to your every word. As a result, every interrogation is unique and no criminal investigation ever unfolds the same way twice.
Why is it more immersive than a scripted game?
