What is learning a language by playing?

Learning a language by playing means writing to characters in an investigation and being corrected in real time, whether on your own at home or in class. Instead of reciting vocabulary lists, you ask questions to solve a mystery: the AI answers, then corrects grammar, spelling and conjugation at your level. Language becomes a tool to move forward in the story, not a subject to revise.

Why playing helps you learn a language

Playing creates a real reason to write: you put together questions because you want to understand the case, not because an exercise requires it. This writing in context anchors turns of phrase better than memorisation alone. Corrections come after every message, without judgement and at your own pace, which removes the fear of getting things wrong and keeps motivation going right to the end of the investigation.

Which levels and languages?

The game adapts from beginner to advanced: the first investigations stay simple, then the exchanges get tougher as you progress. Your students, or you, can play and be corrected in French, English, Spanish, German, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese and other languages. On your own to practise, or in pairs facing the same investigation to talk through the clues.

A ready-to-use activity

Group students in 1s or 2s, turn on academic mode, then start the game. They read the information, ask the characters questions, and the AI corrects every answer.
