Payment and subscription

Jack & Mani works on a freemium basis: you can start playing without paying.

1. What is free

   • 3 indoor investigations (in the interrogation format, in the chat) are free.
   • 1 outdoor investigation (in the location-based format) is free.
   • Enough to discover both ways of playing before you decide.

2. What is paid

   • The following investigations are paid.
   • You can unlock them one at a time, by season pack, or with the Premium subscription (see the dedicated questions).

3. Playing without an account

   • The free indoor investigations can be played without signing up.
   • The outdoor investigation requires an account (free) to track your progress in the field.

Three plans let you access the paid content, depending on the way you play.

1. One at a time

   • You unlock a single investigation, with no subscription.
   • Ideal for discovering the experience or playing occasionally.

2. Season pack

   • You unlock a whole season at once, at a good price.
   • The packs are separate: one pack for the indoor season, another for the outdoor season.
   • Perfect for fans of the game, with no commitment.

3. Premium subscription

   • You access all the content, indoor and outdoor, as long as the subscription is active.
   • You can cancel anytime.

You choose the plan that suits you right at the moment of unlocking an investigation.

The Premium subscription is the most complete plan.

1. All the content

   • It unlocks all the investigations, both indoor and outdoor.
   • You no longer have to buy the investigations one by one.

2. No commitment

   • You can cancel anytime from your profile.
   • After cancellation, you keep access until the end of the period already paid for.

3. Your progress is kept

   • Your level, your badges, and your progress remain yours, even if you stop the subscription.

It is the recommended plan to enjoy the whole game without limits.

The indoor and outdoor content is unlocked separately, except with the Premium subscription.

1. One-at-a-time purchases and season packs

   • An indoor purchase or season pack unlocks only indoor investigations.
   • An outdoor purchase or season pack unlocks only outdoor investigations.

2. The Premium subscription

   • Only the Premium subscription gives access to all the content, indoor and outdoor.

When you unlock an investigation, the offer shown always matches the mode (indoor or outdoor) of the investigation concerned.

The security of your payments is an absolute priority.

1. A trusted provider

   • All payments are handled by Stripe, an external payment service provider known for its reliability.
   • Stripe is used by many world-renowned websites and companies such as Google, Amazon, or OpenAI.

2. No bank details stored

   • Your card details are never stored on our servers.
   • They are processed directly by Stripe, in compliance with the strictest security standards.

3. Highly secure transactions

   • Payments take place in highly secure environments.
   • Stripe uses advanced encryption technologies to guarantee the confidentiality and integrity of every transaction.

You can make your payments with complete confidence and focus fully on your investigations in Jack & Mani.

You can cancel your subscription at any time, very easily.

1. Access your profile

   • Click your profile at the top of the screen.

2. Manage your subscription

   • In the profile menu, select "My subscription".
   • You will be automatically redirected to your Stripe account, our secure payment provider.

3. Cancel the subscription

   • From the Stripe interface, you can cancel your subscription at any time, with no conditions.

4. Keep playing

   • Once the subscription is canceled, you can continue to use the game and all its features until the expiry date of your current subscription.

No forced commitment: you keep full control over your subscription and your gaming experience in Jack & Mani.

The subscriptions and purchases made in Jack & Mani give access to digital content and features that can be used immediately.

In accordance with the applicable regulations, no refund is issued once the subscription or purchase has been activated.

In the event of a proven technical problem preventing use of the service, you can contact us so that we can look into the situation.

To let you pay simply and securely, Jack & Mani offers many payment methods, suited to most countries and payment habits.

2. Quick payments

   • For even more simplicity, the following options are available:
     • Google Pay
     • Apple Pay
     • Link (a quick payment solution offered by Stripe)

3. Local payment methods

   • Depending on your country, you can also use:
     • iDEAL (Netherlands),
     • BLIK (Poland),
     • EPS (Austria),
     • Klarna (deferred or split payment, where available)

4. Safety first

   • All payments are processed via Stripe, a well-known payment provider.
   • Your bank details are never stored on our servers.
   • Every transaction takes place in a highly secure environment.

The payment methods offered may vary slightly depending on your country and your device. This way you can choose the method that suits you best to fully enjoy the game.

When you are charged depends on the type of payment you choose. All payments are handled securely by Stripe.

   • For a one-off payment, you are charged immediately after the payment is confirmed.
   • Access to the content or features is granted without delay.

2. Subscription

   • When you subscribe, the first payment is made immediately.
   • The subscription is then renewed automatically:
     • every month for a monthly subscription,
     • or every year for an annual subscription.
   • You are charged on the anniversary date of your subscription.

3. Management via Stripe

   • Your charge dates and payment history are available through your Stripe area.
   • You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from your profile.

Yes, your subscription renews automatically. You are charged on the anniversary date of your subscription.

1. Monthly subscription

   • Your subscription renews automatically every 30 days.
   • You can cancel your subscription at any time.

2. Annual subscription

   • Your subscription renews automatically every 365 days.
   • You can cancel your subscription at any time.

No nasty surprises: the billing rules are clear and transparent.

Invoices are easily accessible from your profile, depending on the type of payment made.

1. One-time payments

   • From your profile, click "My purchases".
   • There you will find the list of all your purchases.
   • For each purchase, you can:
     • view the invoice,
     • or download it in PDF format.

2. Subscriptions

   • From your profile, go to "My subscription".
   • Then click "Manage my subscription".
   • You will be redirected to your Stripe area, where you can:
     • view the payment history,
     • access the full list of invoices,
     • download each invoice as a PDF.

No need to worry, the situation is usually temporary and resolves very easily.

1. Wait a few moments

   • In very rare cases, the payment information can take a few minutes to reach our servers.
   • The payment is properly recorded, but activation of the pack may be slightly delayed.

2. Refresh or restart the game

   • Most of the time, you simply need to:
     • refresh the page,
     • or close and restart the game.
   • The pack should then appear automatically and be unlocked.

3. Contact us if the problem persists

   • If after a few minutes the pack is still not available, feel free to contact us.
   • We will check the situation and unlock access if necessary.

Your purchase is secure and no payment is lost. Our goal is for you to be able to enjoy the content you bought as quickly as possible.

Canceling your subscription does not immediately cut off your access to the game.

1. Access kept until the end of the period

   • After cancellation, you can keep playing normally.
   • All features remain accessible until the end of the current period.

2. Depending on the subscription type

   • If your subscription was monthly, access stays active until the end of the current month.
   • If your subscription was annual, access stays active until the end date of the subscription year.

3. No new charge

   • Once the subscription is canceled, no new payment will be made.
   • The subscription will not renew automatically.

This way you fully enjoy your subscription until it ends, with no loss of content or progress.
